Men Explaining Post

I personally couldn't think of a particular moment when someone of authority explained something to me. I'm sure it has happened, but after reading this entry I wanted to ask my mom about her thoughts. My mom was in the military for eighteen years. She was in the environment that dealt with these type of situations often. She talked about her time in the office, and how she noticed how she was treated differently from the males in the office. Her boss would say something to the guys in the office, but change his wording when saying the same thing to my mom. He would also show her how he wanted things done around the office, and my mom already knew what he was going to do. She even mentioned how he was treating her differently from the rest of the people. He said that he didn't notice. My mom said that things in the office changed a bit, but his old ways would appear once and awhile. I thought it was interesting how my mom knew her job, but was reminded almost daily of what she should do and how she should do it.
