I think what Tina Fey was trying to emphasize was that they were taking away the armpit hair because they understand Tina might not have had a chance to shave and feels uncomfortable putting that in a magazine, they are not taking the armpit hair away because they think it is ugly and society should not have to see that.Not wanting that nasty pimple and taking it away is different than society telling you that you need to take it away to be pretty or perfect. Not wanting the pimple there might be rooted in society telling us that pimples are gross, but taking it away for your own feelings is better than taking it away to make someone else feel better. So that is why I feel that I agree with feminist photoshopping - because it is not saying that we should photoshop our bodies, but saying that we can reclaim photoshop to use it for what we want.I agree with you and I like the way that you explained your position on this issue. What I gathered from what you said above is that someone can reclaim Photoshop and use it for themselves if they wish to do so, which is much different than society screaming that we should.
