Feminist Selfie!

My name is Beana Bavisotto, I'm 19, and I'm from Buffalo NY. I am a sophomore at SUNY Fredonia this year and I am pursuing degrees in both Enlgish, and Women's and Gender Studies. I am a long time self identified feminist who likes to read books, go for hikes, and make abstract collages. It is all too often that I hear people talk about feminism as a club of women plotting to take over the world. My sign says "I need feminism because it means equality for ALL genders", because I'm sick of explaining that feminism does not mean that you hate men. It simply means equality that is not limited to just men and women. Gender is a spectrum, and it is sometimes the people who do not exist in either extreme that need feminism the most. #feministselfie
