Genderbread Explanation

When I visited home last week i went to my old high school, and while i was there i got a chance to explain what the Genderbread diagram was. I happened to explain it to my old art teacher and a student who is currently in the process of changing from female to male.
We got on the topic because my teacher was trying to figure out how this student identifies now and why and if she's going to be a boy when does she have a boyfriend? Watching this was painful, I saw that the student tried to explain the best they could but in the end my teacher was still very confused. And thats when I pulled up the Genderbread diagram. I gave it to the student and they showed the teacher, and with that the teacher was starting to understand, I then showed her how I identify on it, and with that she now understood how to identify herself.
So in the end I helped a teacher be able to understand her students a little more, and I helped a student be able to identify and maybe explain themselves a little more easier. Also when I was leaving I wrote down the name of the book that we were reading "The Social Justice Advocate's Handbook: A Guide to Gender" By Sam Killermann for the student and when I came back a week later they said they bought the book and it really helped them figure how what they identify as and how they can show and explain that to someone else!
I determine this as a success!
