Jordan Curtis

My name is Jordan Curtis, I am a freshman, and my major is history. Along with the Intro to Gender Studies course I am also taking Queer Studies in Literature with Dr. Jeff.  I'm from the town of Ellicottville, which is mostly known for its skiing, and ironically I don't ski. I have two sisters, the oldest one just graduated from Fredonia in May and I'll be surprised if there's ever a day that passes where someone doesn't ask me if i'm her sister. (But it's ok because I take it as a compliment, but I just don't tell her that.)

My sign says I need Feminism because.....when choosing a college i didn't so much as look at how high the education was rated as i looked at how safe the campus was. This is something that greatly disturbs me. I have to be more worried about how to get home safely in the dark rather than how well my education will be. I guess it worked out because Fredonia greatly excels in both fields. But i feel for many other girls across the world that have to sacrifice their education for safety.
