Social Constructs of Disability
I feel like the college lacks systems for disable students. Like elevators for instance. In Thompson there is only one elevator available, this is for all building as well. And sometimes there not easy marked on where they are. Even access to wheelchair access ramps. There isn't a lot of them on campus. I even heard in Rockefeller there isn't any ramps for wheelchair body people. So how would students get by. Also the buttons around campus for the automatic doors. Sometimes I even use them even the elevators too. Mostly the one in Thompson, but this has made me realize too that someone more important to use it. Instead of spending money on building a whole new building for our science center. We could use the more Money for more elevator access and ramps that can help them out.
