Gender Identity Term

The term I came up with for my gender identity is tomboy-femme. I chose this because I do not necessarily dress very girly all the time but I do when I have time to look nice. When i put on a cute dress or top my confidence goes up a lot. Mostly because i like how it looks on me. I am someone who dresses for myself. I do not care if someone else thinks its cute, as long as i do i will wear it! I put tomboy in my term because some of my clothes are from the men's section in stores. I used to be embarrassed to go shop in the guys section in Target but I am not anymore. The fit of men's t shirts are looser and more comfortable, in my opinion.
As far as how i act i do not think i act masculine or feminine. I used to be one of those girls who would not raise her hand in class if i thought i was wrong or would apologize after giving my opinion. These are not necessarily female traits but shyness is usually associated with females. I can say that i have become more comfortable in my own skin after coming to college. I attended a fairly small Catholic high school where there wasn't much diversity. Fredonia is great because there are all types of people here and it gave me a place to let myself grow as a person.
