photostopping
When I was reading this article I came to a stand still on what I think about Photoshop that is described in Tina Fey's article bossy pants. Photoshop has been seen as the coolest thing since sliced bread in the last five years. The idea of being able to fix every insecurity you have of yourself in a few simple clicks of the keyboard is amazing! right? the Photoshop era is ruining our view on the idea of what "beauty" is. Just because someone has a couple freckles on their face doesn't mean that they should feel like they have to "get rid of them". By what you have read you probably think that I believe that Photoshop is the devil, but that's not the case. I believe Photoshop can be a good thing if used for the right reasons. I myself do not use Photoshop (too many buttons) but, I have watched people use it and people use it to help fix the little things in pictures like lighting, or get to get rid of a photo bomber in the background but, not on the person(s) in the picture. Photoshop can be used for good it just depends who is behind the computer using it. Something that did surprise me though is how long it takes for someone to get ready to take a couple of pictures. I mean, I figured it did take some time but not an all day event. It's not exactly the time that surprises me it's kind of what is the point of it. What is the point of making someone go through all that annoying makeup, hair and clothe trying on if most of it is going to get "fixed" in Photoshop anyways? oh, that's right. there isn't one. We have to face the fact that Photoshop isn't going away anytime soon but, hopefully people will start realizing that you do not need Photoshop to look beautiful.
