When I look around campus, I see that normally wouldn't cross my mind or occur to be things that would socially construct disability.  As I left class Wednesday, I noticed more and more things that made me realize how big of an issue this is/can become.  One thing in particular I noticed that I had previously never thought about, was the handicapped door operators around campus.  Day by day maybe when i'm with my friends I would use them, or maybe i was feeling lay, whatever the reason I had never considered that people actually need to use these and might be seen as different, or maybe even made fun of.  I feel like this shows he issue at hand, people who actually NEED those door operators, and i actually felt a bit disappointed with myself.
